Super Rugby kicks off in Christchurch this weekend, where Crusaders take on Jaguares. This will be a historic match as the Crusaders have never played the Argetine side in Super Rugby.

After losing to the Chiefs in their first game of SR, Crusader have won 5 in a row, winning this game will make it 6 in a row. Something they haven’t done in 5 years.

Jaguares have made 9 changes for this match and a number of their stars return including team captain and Pumas star Juan Martin Hernandez in at 10.

Kick off: 09:35am

Rebels vs Hurricanes – kick off 11:45 am Friday

After losing their opening two games of Super Rugby, Hurricanes have recovered well. Canes come from a 40 point win over Jaguares. Rebels should on a high after a historic win over their Aussie rivals the Waratahs.

Hurricanes 5 point win

Cheetahs vs Sunwolves – kick off @ 19:00 Friday

Comfortable win for Cheetahs in Bloemfontein. By 16 points

Blues vs Sharks – kick off 09:35

Tough one. Sharks are one of the few SA sides that do well away from home. Blues haven’t really been that impressive. Played well against the Chiefs last week. Sharks have lost two in a row (at home).

I’ll give it to the Blues by 1 point

Waratahs vs Brumbies – kick off 11:45

Big Aussie Derby. Keen to see the Beale and Folou combination in Midfield. Brumbies are strong in set piece play and were very dominant the last time these two sides met. Waratahs lost to the Rebels a fortnight ago. Tricky call this one

I’ll go for the home side Waratahas by 3

Blue Bulls vs Reds – kick off 17:05

Easy win for Bulls at home. Bulls by 16

Lions vs Stormers – kick off 19:15

Historically Stormers have the upper hand in this rivalry. Lions are on a high after winning against the Sharks in Durban last week. Very difficult dicision in calling this one.

Lions by 6
