Adriaan Strauss announced today that he will be hanging his boots from all rugby after the 2018 Super Rugby season.

Strauss ends a 14 year rugby career.

He started at the Bulls junior structures back in 2004 and went on to play Super Rugby in 2006.

In 2008 he made his Springbok debut against Australia (coming off the bench). Strauss has made 66 appearances for South Africa.

In 2016 he announced that he would retire from International Rugby at the end of 2016 season, playing his final match for the Springboks on 26 November that year. The Springboks lost 27-13 to Wales in Cardiff, with Strauss replaced with 9 minutes left on the clock.
