Springbok flyer Aphiwe Dyantyi’s B-sample has tested positive, this according to the South African Institute for Drug Free Sport (SAIDS).
SAIDS confirmed on Friday that the B-sample was positive, the testing took place at the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accredited lab in Free State.
Dyantyi has now been formally charged with a doping offence for anabolic steroids and metabolites.
The Bok winger has a few options, either to accept the charge or submit a plea for reduced sanction or contest the charge before an independent tribunal. A hearing will be set in the next four weeks, should he contest the charge. He faces up to four years minimum ban
