On this occasion the 2012 Olympian was in action at the Hong Kong leg of the FINA World Cup and raced to double gold in the 50 and 100m breaststroke events.
In the 50m he clocked 27.23 second beat beat Aussie Matthew Treloar (27.83) and Tommy Sucipto (28.01) into silver and bronze.
On the final day the 27-year-old Pretoria swimmer was just over the one minute barrier in the longer breaststroke event, clocking 1:00.23, more than a second clear of Japan’s Akihiro Yamaguchi (1:01.62) with Sucipto again getting bronze, in 1:01.98.
The action now moves on Beijing, China for the next leg of the series. The meeting starts on Tuesday and finishes on Wednesday.
