Manchester Citys  £49m bid for Raheem Sterling has been accepted by Liverpool according to the Liverpool Echo.

This most likely will bring to an end a transfer saga which damaged Sterling reputation and left him unwanted by the Liverpool fans, who had even gone as far as to put him up for sale on eBay.

Sterling, 19 is now free to negotiate terms to a contract with Manchester City FC. It remains to be seen however whether the young attacker can live to the bill of being the most exensive Englishman.

Liverpool fans will hope Sterling gets replaced quickly with players such Benteke and Lacazette linked with the club throughout the summer break.
