This is by far the biggest match of the weekend, the Soweto giants Amakosi go up against the Pretoria giants Amatsantsantsa this coming Saturday the 9th January 2015. Kaizer Chiefs Predicted Starting Line Up vs Mamelodi Sundowns excludes likes of Bernard Parker who is currently out with injury.

Kaizer Chiefs don’t really have a home ground so it is difficult to point out where the game will be played. Chiefs are currently sitting fourth on the table with 21 points, 5 points behind Sundowns who are leading way on 26 points. This is a must win game for Chiefs or they may as well count themselves out of the running for the PSL trophy having less than impressive coaching in the form of Steve Kompela.

On form alone we think Kompela should go with Khuzwayo as Khune has struggled to cement his place as the out and out first choice keeper.

In Defence:

We believe Kompela will go for the back four of Gaxa, Mathoho, Xulu and Masilela. Three of the four players are sure starters for big games with Mathoho being the second top goal scorer for the club with 4 goals and with Gaxa having the joint 3rd most assist for the club with 3 assists.

In the Middle:

We should see Letsholonyane and Katsande continue the partnership that has yielded lots of success for the club in the past. With Tshabalala playing as an attacking midfielder in attack and falling back to cover Gaxa on the right wing in defence. Lebese, who is currently the clubs top goal scorer will of course play as an out and out left winger looking to stretch the play on the left hand side and deliver killer crosses to the tall strikers.

In Attack:

With Kaizer Chiefs top goal scorer, Parker injured Kompela will look to Camaldine Abraw for the goals and to Mthembu to create them. Abraw has scored 3 goals this season and Mthembu has 3 assists this season. Both players are decent in the air, and powerful.

Eric Mathoho is the man to watch in this game, due to his all round threat in attacking and defending set pieces.
