The Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee has found both the club (Mamelodi Sundowns) and the player (Wayne Arendse) guilty of misconduct.

Mamelodi Sundowns fielded an ineligible player in a PSL fixture against Bidvest Wits in October last year. The match ended in a stalemate (1 – 1) where Sundowns earned a point.

If the Premier Soccer League is consistent with its ruling regarding ineligible players (remember Ajax Cape Town), Mamelodi Sundowns will have to be docked points. Sundowns are currently sitting on top of the log standings in the PSL with 44 points.

Bidvest Wits will score an easy 3 points and a 3 – 0 scoreline, which will mean that Bidvest Wits will top the Premier Soccer League table with 44 points.
