• Caster Semenya ran her fastest time on South African soil as she continues to domonate the local scene. The three-time 800m world champion won her race in one minute‚ 57.80 seconds (1.57.80).

• Clarence Munyai shattered Wayde van Niekerks’ 200m record at the South African Champs Meeting. Munyai clocked 19.69sec to take 0.15 off the SA record set by compatriot Wayde van Niekerk in Kingston, Jamaica in June last year.

Tennis:

• Jaun Martin Del Porto beat world number one Roger Federer 6-4 6-7(8/10) 7-6 winning the Indian Wells Masters Tournament.

Football:

• PSL – Kaizer Chiefs woes continue as they failed to beat AmaZulu FC at home on Saturday. Scoring is one of their biggest concerns as they have only managed to score 20 goals in 23 league games.
