Buccaneers assistant coach Rhulani Mokwena is keeping things professional when it comes to the seriousness of the Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs this coming Saturday.

The Orlando Pirates tactician has gone as far as blocking his former mentor Steve Komphela on his cellphone.

“I go back a long way with Steve Komphela and I have learnt a lot from him. We engage constantly about football & the state of where it’s going. He is a coach that believes in giving chances & he has played a huge role in my career thus far” said the Pirates second in command.

Rhulani further added that, “He is a super professional and a friend. Even in my discussion ahead of coming to Pirates, I had offers for head coach positions in the PSL & he played a part in my decision to come here.”

“I have however blocked him from my phone for the next week because we are still rivals. All the links and ties are removed because we are professionals and true to our core of wanting to win”

Kaizer Chiefs vs Orlando Pirates kicks off at 15:30pm Saturday 03/03/18
