Cricket:

• India clinch the Series in Newlands nailbiter against South Africa with a narrow seven run win in the third and final T20 International.

• Black Caps won the first One Day International against England beating the visitors by three wickets in the five match series.

Football:

• Orlando Pirates have managed to close the gap on log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns after beating Chippa United 4 – 2 at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

• Other results – Sundowns and Supersport United played to a 1 – 1 draw in the Pretoria Derby on Saturday. Kaizer Chiefs 0 – 0 Bloemfontein Celtics, Golden Arrows 1 – 0 Ajax Cape Town.

• Manchester City won the League Cup on Sunday beating Arsenal 3 – 0 at Wembley.

• Manchester United beat Chelsea 2 – 1 in this weekends Premier League headliner.

Golf:

Justin Thomas claimed his eighth PGA Tour victory winning the Honda Classic.
