This past weekend was jam-packed with sports action locally and around the world.  



PSL – The Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates fixture was the main game of the Absa Premiership. Pirates had not beaten Sundowns in last five meetings in the Premier Soccer League and they were out to settle the score against the Pretoria rivals. The Buccaneers were 3 – 1 victors in the thrilling encounter at Loftus Stadium in Pretoria.

The highlight fixture was between Liverpool versus the unbeaten Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday evening. Liverpool upset the vistors beating them 4 – 3. 

Bournemouth 2 – 1 Arsenal 

Tottenham 4 – 0 Everton 

Chelsea 0 – 0 Leicester 

Cheetahs travelled to Eastern Cape to play the Kings at the Nelson Mandela Stadium. 

Cheetahs proved to be too strong for the struggling Kings beating them 45 – 21 in the Pro 14 encounter. 

– South Africa started their Under 19 World Cup campaign on a high, they beat fellow Africans, Kenya, by 169 runs. 

– Jason Roy scored 180 runs as England  beat Australia by 5 wickets in the first One Day International at the MCG on Sunday

Chris Paisley won the South African Open at the Glendower Golf Club on Sunday. The Englishman produced six birdies in the final round of 66.
