Allister on Cassiem
“Our balance is right, Uzair Cassiem has played eight before, for the Cheetahs. I think hes had 6 plus games there at number eight, his line-out intelligence is absolutely wonderful and he’s a great contester, a very similar role to Warren Whiteley.”
Allister on Trevor Nyakane
“Trevor Nyakane has always been part of the plan, even during the June series against France. We’ve had some fitness and conditioning criteria which need to be upheld to compete at international level therefor Trevor has had a lot of work to do. He’s lost a lot of weight and now he’s been rewarded, back in the squad.”
Beast is the most capped Springbok in the team with 90 caps followed by his skipper Eben Etzebeth with 57 and Hougaard on 42.
