A team of 24 athletes has been chosen by Athletics South Africa for the IAAF World Championships in London 2017. The meeting will be held from the 4th to the 13th of August.

Record breaking Olympic Gold Medalist Wayde Van Niekerk will lead the team, consisting of 18 men and only just 6 women. SA Champs 100m and 200m Alyssa Conley and World Student Games 400m gold medalist have been excluded in the 24 member team.
