It’s been a difficult season for SANZAAR in 2017. With South Africa having taken a decision on culling of two franchise teams (Kings and Cheetahs), Australia are yet to make a decision on how he matter.

This weekend is the last round of Round Robin Matches, next week it’s the play-offs.

Highlanders vs Reds: Friday 09:35am

The first game of the weekend, Reds travel to New Zealand. Reds will be highly motivated after their win against Australian rivals the Brumbies. I believe the Highlanders have too much gas in the tank to topple the Queensland side.

Rebels vs Jaguares: Friday 11:45am

Rebels have been very poor this season. Jaguares have been inconsistent, tough game to call considering it’s the last match for both these sides because they won’t take part in the play-offs. But I’ll back the Jaguares to beat the Rebels

Kings vs Cheetahs: Friday 19:00pm

This game promises to be a cracker, Kings will feel they deserve to stay in Super Rugby but so will the Cheetahs. Last week it was announced that both franchises will not take part in Super Rugby 2018. It should be an evenly matched contest but the Kings can pip the Cheetahs in Nelson Mandela Bay.

Sunwolves vs Blues: Saturday 05:05am

Moondogs have had a tough tour in South Africa, having conceded just over 130 points scored against them in their two matches vs Lions and Stormers. I don’t see anything changing this weekend against the Blues.

Chiefs vs Brumbies: Saturday 07:15am

Disappointed by last weeks performance, the Brumbies will look to improve this weekend against the Chiefs. Brumbies can’t afford to lose this game, because a bonus point win for Waratahs, takes them to the top of Aussie Conferences. Must win for Brumbies

I don’t see Chiefs losing at home

Chiefs by 5
Hurricanes vs Crusaders: Saturday 09:35am

TJ, Barrett and Savea return to the starting line up for the Hurricanes this weekend, Coles is still on the sidelines as he returns to fitness. A win for Hurricanes will see them travel to Australia for play-off match against the “Brumbies” a loss means they have to travel to South Africa to play Stormers.

Crusaders on the other hand need a win to secure him  Finals.

Force vs Waratahs: Saturday 11:45am

Force will be playing for pride on Saturday.

Waratahs need a bonus point win to secure a play-off spot (provided that the Brumbies lose against Chiefs).

Bulls vs Stormers: Saturday 15:05pm

Stormer back three are lethal on attack, thanks to the platform set up by their dominant forward pack. Last time these two sides met was in Round 1 of SR in Cape Town. I don’t see Bulls troubling the Western Cape side, especially after the Bulls poor showing against the Kings last week.

Stormers by 5
Sharks vs Lions: Saturday 17:15pm

Last time these two sides met the Lions won by 5 in a tightly contested match. A Lions win could be beneficial for the Durban side: If Lions finish on top of overall table and sharks remain in 8th position, then next week Lions will host the Sharks in Johannesburg. Sharks won’t have to travel to New Zealand and play the Crusaders.

However I doubt that’s how the Banana Boys are thinking. I’m sure they’ll want to prove a point on their home soil.

Tough call to make but I think Lions have too much sauce in the kitchen to make Sushi out of the Sharks
