Toyota Cheetahs and Southern Kings wont take part in next years Super Rugby competition. This was decided by SA Rugby general council on Friday morning.

It is believed that the tournament will return to 15 teams, with one more Australian franchise to be culled.

Cheetahs and Kings are keen to explore other international opportunities. Numerous reports believe that these two franchises are set to join Europe’s Pro 12 competition, which starts in September.
