Semenya was the shining light for a handful of South African Athletes on the Diamond League Meeting in Oslo, Norway. The Rio Olympics, Gold Medalist blasted another gold at the Bislett Games winning the 800m in 1min 57sec. 

2. Kolisi helps Boks clinch series 

Allister Coetzee’s men pulled off an impressive performance to beat France on Saturday.  The victory means that South Africa win the series 2 – 0, with one more Test to be played in Johannesburg this coming weekend.  Siya Kolisi was named Man Of The Match as he out muscled the French at ruck time, showed brilliant ball skills and athleticism. 

3. Baby Blacks seal under 20 world cup with an emphatic victory 

Reigning Champions, England crashed to a heavy defeat by the Baby Blacks, losing 64 – 17 in the World Rugby – Under 20 Final, in Tbilisi on Sunday. 

4. Brooks Koepka wins maiden major title

Powerful Floridian Brooks Koepka won his maiden major title with victory in 2017 US Open. He won with a marginal distance by four strokes -16. 

5. Pakistan reward their South African born coach, for keeping 

Pakistan thrashed India in Champions Trophy Final on Sunday by 180 runs. Helped by 114 runs from Fakhar Zaman, Pakistan put up a total of 338 at the Oval. India were immediately under pressure and never settled with the bat, dismissed by a rampant Pakistan bowling attack for just 158. 

6. Andre Ward beats Sergey Kovalev in Las Vegas rematch 

Andre Ward stopped Sergey Kovalev in the eighth round to win their light-heavyweight rematch in Las Vegas and retain his WBO, WBA and IBF belts.

The world champion, who won all three titles from the Russian by a controversial points decision in their first bout, is unbeaten in 32 fights.
