Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has pleaded with fans to stop their abuse of Cristiano Ronaldo after he was jeered during their match against Malaga on Saturday.
The Portuguese star hit the woodwork and was denied by the Malaga keeper on three occasions, leaving him with just one goal from open play in La Liga since November.
He was subjected to whistles from the crowd as Madrid narrowly beat Malaga 2-1 thanks to a brace from captain Sergio Ramos.
The win, following two defeats, sees Madrid four points clear at the top of La Liga, yet some fans are still not happy with the misfiring world player of the year, or Best FIFA Mens’ Player of 2016.
