SuperSport United will have a mountain to climb in the Nedbank Cup semifinals after they were drawn against giant slayers Baroka FC on Sunday in Polokwane.
Baroka are the only National First Division side remaining in the tournament and eliminated Polokwane City in exciting quarterfinal match to book a place in the last four. SuperSport progressed to the next round after eliminating Mpumalanga Black Aces in a tightly contested quarterfinal in Atteridgeville.
Pirates who bundled out defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the quarters will be away to Free State Stars as they look for a place in the final to salvage what has been subdued season by their standards. Stars reached the last four by beating Bidvest Wits on penalties at the Bidvest Stadium on Saturday.
