AC Milan boss Sinisa Mihajlovic has hinted that Mario Balotelli has played his last game for the club because the Liverpool striker is not putting in enough effort.
The Liverpool forward moved back to the San Siro on loan last summer but the striker’s played just ten times in an injury-ravaged campaign.
The 25-year-old was made a two-minute cameo during Milan’s 2-1 win against Genoa on the weekend but the visitors pulled one goal back during the 120 seconds that Balotelli was on the field.
The forward has often been accused of lacking the hard work needed to play regularly for a top team and Mihajlovic has suggested that Balotelli’s lack of effort means he will not play for the club again.

‘We should have scored a third goal and not risked it at the end,’ said Mihajlovic.
‘It is also my fault, as those who don’t sacrifice themselves for the team to the 94th minute will no longer set foot on the field.
‘It wasn’t just Balotelli – there were another two or three as well as him, they know who i’m talking about.’
