According to the Daily Mirror, the Scotsman is willing to offer Ryan Giggs assistance in the dugout should the Red Devils sack current boss Louis van Gaal.

It’s believed that Ferguson has no intention of taking a ‘hands-on approach’ at the club, but he will advice Giggs should the Van Gaal assistant take over.

Ferguson hasn’t exactly left the Red Devils since his retirement in 2013, as he remained part of the club in and ambassadorial role.

The Scottish tactician has had much say in the clubs footballing decisions, since he advised the board to hire David Moyes.

Many believe the former Van Gaal’s future was on the line this weekend, before his side overcame Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield.

The Red Devils hierarchy would reportedly like to see the Dutchman see out his contract until 2018, but could be forced to make a decision should the side end outside the top four this season.

Van Gaal said himself that he wants to see Giggs as his successor at United, and if that is to happen, then Ferguson might not be a bad mentor for the unproven Welshman.

Ronaldo Hints At His Next Move

Ferguson won 13 Premier League trophies with Manchester United and Ryan Giggs was part of every single one of those.
