FORMER Wallaby coach Eddie Jones has opened the door to taking England to the next World Cup after the host nation’s shock failure at the current tournament.


Jones, now coach of World Cup surprise-packet Japan, said he would not be adverse to an approach from England as they considered the future of the under-fire Stuart Lancaster.

Lancaster, who is preparing England for a meaningless last pool match against Uruguay after losses to Wales and Australia, is expected to be sacked when the tournament ends
