A test series filled with off the field chaos, St George Park was the venue for the much anticipated second test.

However it was Kagiso Rabada who stole the show in Nelson Mandela Bay demolishing the Australian batting order in both innings. Rabada took 5/96 in the first innings and 6/54 in the second innings with an overall statistic of 11 for 150 runs.

Rabada’s current strike rate is 39.6, the best by any bowler in world cricket in over one hundred years. The 22 year old also took his eight career five wicket haul, simply phenomenal by the young man.

Another outstanding performance worth mentioning was the 126 not out knock by A.B de Villiers in the first innings which guided the Proteas to a solid foundation and 139 run lead. This was A.B’s first ton in three years.

South Africa won the Second Test by six wickets, leveling the Series 1 – 1. Next test is in Cape Town 03/22

OFF THE FIELD:

We still waiting for the outcome of the Level 2 charge by ICC on Kagiso Rabada* (Rabada could face a series ban)
