This is an exclusive interview with apartheid era boxing legend Collen Professor Gxala, who fought in 19 professional fights only losing one. He was known as Easy Gas,Professor Mathafeni, Jamketha and started boxing as an armature in 1979 and turned pro in 1986 and travelled to Europe and Israel during this tenure.

These are the stories that were buried during apartheid regime and form part of the corner stone of sporting and boxing history in South Africa.

In this Interview exclusively done in native Xhosa “Gxalas Mother Tongue” he takes us through a journey in which boxing was an escape from mine labour, which saw him travel the world during the times of oppression.
