Supersport United are the 2017 MTN 8 Champions after beating the Citizens, Cape Town City FC on penalties at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday. Cape Town City scored as early as the 23rd minute but only managed to hold on to the lead until the 80th minute, when Supersport United equalised. Afrer 90 minutes, the game went to extra time  and City could not take advantage of ten men Supersport. Ronwen Williams, Supersport goalkeeper was the hero of the day as he saved two penalties helping his team to a 4 – 2 win in the shootout. 


Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla steered South Africa to a crushing victory over Bangladesh at the Diamond Oval, in Kimberly on Sunday. Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first, setting up a total of 278/8, their highest total against the Proteas. Mushfiqur scored 110, the girst century by a Bangladesh player in ODI. 

Amla and de Kock’s 282 run partnership was joint sixth highest of all time, handing South Africa a convincing 10 wicket win. 

Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 83 runs to lead the ODI Series 1 – 0. 


 Roger Federer thrashed Rafael Nadal to win the Shanghai Masters 6-4 6-3 on Sunday.
