Senwes Park in Potchefstroom was the venue that hosted the First Test between South Africa and Bangladesh. It was a magnificent display by the Proteas throughout the match with bat and ball as they thrashed Bangladesh by 333 runs in the last day on Monday morning.
Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bowl first, South Africa posted 496/3 (declared) in their first innings, Dean Elgar scoring 199 runs, Hashim Amlar 137 and Aiden Markram getting 97 on debut, Bangladesh only managed to get 320 all out.
Bavuma and Du Plessis moved things along in the second innings and South Africa declared on 247/6, setting a steep target of 423 for Bangladesh.
Despite losing Morne Morkel in the early hours of the morning session on Day 5, South Africa managed to pull through with an emphatic victory bowling Bangladesh out for just 90 runs.
