The much anticipated Boxing Match in 2017 between Canelo Alverez and Gennady Golovkin ended in a controversial draw. Judges ruled it 115-114 (Golovkin) 114-114, 118-110 (Alverez). This meant that Golovkin retained his middleweight title on Saturday night.
Lewis Hamilton extended his F1 lead after winning the Singapore Grand Prix. Hamilton who started 5th of the grid, needed some luck to win in rain-hit Singapore. His luck came when Vettel crashed out of the race after loosing his right wing from the start of the race. It was disastrous start for Ferrari and Redbaull. Hamilton took first place, Ricciardo second and Bottas third.
The Springboks travelled to Albany, New Zealand to take on the Allblacks on Saturday. After substandard performances in 2017, the Allblacks came out firing against the Boks, with New Zealand winning 57 – 0, the worst Bok defeat in 111 years.
