Allister Coetzee and his men continued where they left off against France in the June Series. On Saturday the Springboks met Argentina in thier first match of the Rugby Championship match, played in Nelson Mandela Bay.
The Boks put up a solid performance grounding four tries past the Pumas, beating them 37 – 15, with tries coming from Courtnall Skosan, Raymond Rhule, Siya Kolisi and Pieter Steph du Toit. The two Bok wingers registered their first International Test tries to get the Springboks off to a positive note in Rugby Championship.
In Australasia, New Zealand travelled to Sydney for the first Bledisloe Cup match against the Wallabies. As usual, there were off the field incidents to distract the Allblacks before kick-off but that didnt seem to have any effect on the New Zealand side who put the Wallabies away with eight tries. At half time the score was 40 – 6, Australia looked like a high school team disguised as an international side. Final score was 54 – 34, the highest score by an Allblack side against the Wallabies, eclipsing 51 in Auckland 2014.
Next match: NZ will host the Wallabies this coming weekend and the Springboks travel to Argentina.
