Semi-Final: 14/06/2017

England take on Pakistan in the first semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy. England finished top of Group A, beating Bangladesh, New Zealand and Australia.
On the other hand, Pakistan beat the Proteas and Sri Lanka to finish second in Group B.

The last time these two teams met in an ICC competition, was back in 2003. England come into this semi-final as favourites, they are the only unbeaten side in the tournament. Pakistan are unpredictable but coach Mickey Arthur doesnt like that.

“I have just been buying a lot more chill pills. I don’t want us to be unpredictable. As a head coach, you want the team to have structure. You want the consistency levels to be good. Unpredictability as a coaching staff, we don’t like. We would like us to do the basics a hell of a lot better, day in and day out, and that’s what we train for every day. So we are getting better. We are making strides in that area,” said Arthur on the eve of the semis.
