As a result, the Clever Boys booked their place in the 2016 MTN8 final after winning the semifinal tie 3-0 on aggregate over two-legs.
The visitors dominated possession in the opening stages of the Cup encounter as they looked to grab an early goal to put the result beyond doubt.

Five minutes before halftime, Frank Mhango hit the upright with a powerful left-footed shot as the home side continued to dominate the encounter.

Malawi international Mhango has enjoyed a superb start to his Bidvest Wits career and after he broke into the City box on 74 minutes, defender Tshepo Gumede had to be at his best to deny the pacy attacker.
City eventually sparked to life in the dying exchanges of the clash with Bongolethu Jayiya forcing Darren Keet into a save four minutes later – his strike the game’s first shot on target.
City striker Judas Moseamedi’s header was then cleared off the line in stoppage time by Clever Boys defender Nazeer Allie; who ensured that the game ended in a goalless draw.
